Guidelines to Best Practice for Local Construction Management

Another Milestone

Submission of our application with the Malta Book Council for Book Funding.

Back in 2020, in anticipation of the Act to legislate the Profession of the Construction Project Manager, the importance to define, not only the role and duties but also the responsibilities and benefits of having a Construction Project Manager onboard was highlighted.

Today, 18 months from the appointment of a working group, made up of three MCCM members, we have applied to be granted funds to prepare and publish the official Guidelines to Best Practice for Local Construction Management.

From the outset, we recognised that for such an important initiative we required the input and assistance of a major institution. The Chartered Institute of Building, as always were willing to assist us on this project as well. They are assisting us by the provision of their expertise and experience which they have in similar publications, on an international level.

The book is still in the working process and more work remains, however, we are confident that thanks to our dedicated team and with the backing of the CIOB especially Dr Gina Al-Talal, Tracey Clarke and as always CEO Caroline Gumble, we would reach this important milestone by publishing these guidelines.
