Following an invite from Dr Joseph Spiteri, members from the MCCM provided a brief introduction to the second-year architecture course students during their study unit on project management. The presentation consisted of an overview of the history of the chamber, its origins, work done so far and more importantly the programme ahead.
Apart from a brief mention of the history of the chamber, the MCCM officer responsible for the Education and Development Section, Clarabel Versace, briefly mentioned the benefits for young students in joining the chamber. This varies from discounts on courses already available, access to the CIOB Academy CPD`s library and a particularly key factor, being able to count on the support and assistance of other experienced Construction Project Managers already members of the Chamber.
Another brief reference was that on the CIOB Heritage Conference that will be taking place late next year in Malta. A conference that will bring delegates from around the world that will have the opportunity to gain experience more of the history of our islands.
MCCM would like to take the opportunity to thank Dr Spiteri for providing us with this opportunity and the students that attended with interest in our presentation.
