The starting point. An invitation to Mrs Caroline Gumble, CEO of the Chartered Institute of Building was initiated by local CIOB representative Jesmond Chetcuti MCIOB AMICE and this was well received. Mrs Caroline Gumble visited Malta in February 2020 and as part of her visit, a meeting was organized with the Hon Dr Ian Borg Minister for Infrastructure. This introductory meeting had the positive outcome that was hoped for. The status of the local industry, the prospective legal recognition of the Construction Project Manager including how the CIOB, the largest institution of its kind in the world, could help Malta were amongst the subjects discussed.
